Simply put, I started blogging as a class assignment. I was enrolled in the course Writing in an Electronic Environment. In this class we were required to write a blog post once a week, all semester.
Needless to say this was an on campus class, not a film class.
I have thought about starting a blog in the past. I am a strange person, so I thought it would be fun. (Still a strange person, to me, it is fun)
Writing cam very easy to me. I have never struggled with talking about myself, my life, and my experiences. The moderate narcissist in me really lends itself well to blogging. The drive to start blogging just wasn’t there yet. I needed the academic push to begin the process.
So begins the flow. I definitely found it challenging to incorporate certain prompts into my blog posts. I found, however, that the assignments with more strict parameters ended up better than the free choice blog posts. I did appreciate the free choice assignments though.
Honestly, this was probably my favorite long running assignments this year. I am glad this semester started me off on my blogging spree.
