Sooooo I’m Lane

Hi.

I am a sophomore at Chapman University in Dodge College for Film and Media Arts. I am a Film Production major with a Psych minor.

I am writing this blog because I feel like you, dear reader, should know what the whole experience is really like. I will strive to post weekly about my experiences in film classes, on set, and on main campus. I hope that through this blog I can provide a few bits of helpful advice and critique about the art of making “collegiate” films. As my grandfather once said, “It is important to learn from your own mistakes, but it is much cheaper to learn from the mistakes of others.” I make a lot of mistakes so this Blog should be rather informative.

To give a little background about me; I have been obsessed with movies forever, and have loved making them films since middle school. I was one of a small handful of people at my High School who were interested in the craft. Needless to say there are a lot more film people here. So the big fish in a small pond becomes the small fish in a big pond that is full of really big fish… Like huge fish… Huge fish who know how to work Avid.

I am also decidedly sure that I love Pineapple more than any person living or dead.

So that pretty much sums up my life.
